Terms & Conditions for AIOT Design Challenge 2026

  1. Eligibility
     The contest is open to participants aged 18 and above across India. Employees of EFY Group, DigiKey, participating sponsors, and their immediate family members are not eligible. Individuals from any other nation cannot participate in this contest.
  2. Individual & Team Entries
    1. Entries may be submitted by individuals or teams
    2. Only the team leader needs to register and submit project details. A team can have up to 8 members
  3. Multiple Submissions
    1. Participants may submit multiple projects but only one submission per board
    2. Each entry must represent a distinct and original design
    3. Duplicate or substantially similar entries will be handled on a first-come, first accept basis with those coming in later being rejected
  4. Original Work
     By submitting an entry, participants confirm that:
    1. The design is original
    2. They have the right to submit it
    3. It does not infringe on third-party intellectual property
  5. Submission Method
    All entries must be submitted online via the official EFY contest platform.
  6. Ownership & Rights
    Participants retain full IP of their designs, but will enable EFY and Sponsors to publish their project on respective websites during and even after the contest.
  7. Expenses
    1. All costs related to design, prototyping, or submission are the responsibility of the participant. 
    2. EFY will reimburse selected 50 teams with the cost of their components and  developer board up to a maximum amount of Rs 6000 (including GST). 
    3. Selected teams will need to order and buy all the above components and boards from DigiKey.in to be able to get the reimbursement from EFY.
    4. The Best 50 teams selected will be informed after Stage 2 (submission of abstracts).
  8. Disqualification
     EFY reserves the right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, non-technical, irrelevant, or do not comply with contest rules.
  9. Prizes
     Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if required.
  10. Publicity & Promotion
    Winners consent to the use of their name, project visuals, and descriptions for promotional and editorial purposes by EFY, DigiKey, and partner sponsors.
  11. Final Authority
     All decisions by the judging panel are final and binding.
